Biography
Gagan Kumar Thapa or simply known as Gagan Thapa (born 19 July 1976) is a Nepali politician who is currently serving as the president Nepali Congress party. He is running as Prime Minister candidate of Nepali Congress. He is a four-time parliamentarian has served as the member of Pratinidhi Sabha from Kathmandu 4 since 2008. He has also served as the Minister of Health and Population of Nepal from 2016 to 2017. Thapa was sworn in as member of Constituent Assembly from party list of Nepali Congress in 2008. Thapa ran as candidate from Kathmandu 4 ever since 2013 which he retained till 2022 defeating his opponents with a clear margin.
